Aerial Silks Workshops with Sarah Romanowsky

Aerialist Choreographer, Performer & Coach, Sarah Romanowsky will be in the Bay Area and holding the following workshops at Ascend Aerial Arts!

Dancey Sequences
Friday August 2nd
7:30PM – 9:30PM

You don’t need a background in dance to find your own flow in the air. In this workshop, you will learn sequences that encourage finding fluidity in movement while learning new tricks! You will leave with a renewed sense of artistry through focusing on breath, alignment, arm placement & most of all, a sense of dancing in the air.

Performance Style
Sunday August 4th
5:30PM – 7:30PM

We’ve all heard it before: It’s not what you do, but how you do it! This sentiment couldn’t be more true in regard to performing aerial silks. In this workshop, we will take your movement to the next level with tricks, transitions & stylistic approaches you can utilize in all your routines!

Spinning Droptions
Sunday August 4th
7:30PM – 9:30PM

Spins and drops are some of the most fun things both to execute & watch on Silks! In the workshop, we will marry the two, working first on the sequencing for the drop, then adding the element of spinning. Additionally, we will play with new options for our entrances, exits & the drops themselves.

Prerequisites – Students should have 1 year or more of aerial training, be able to invert & hip key in the air, and also be able to spend 1 min in the air at a time.

1 Workshop – $75 M / $80 NM
2 Workshops – $145M / $150 NM
3 Workshops – 215 M / $225 NM

Space is limited. Once class begins there are no refunds and no make up classes. We require a minimum of 4 students to hold a class.
