Ascend Aerial Arts is proud to host 3 Aerial workshops with Xochitl Sosa!  An Oakland based aerial performer and instructor, she is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts’ (NECCA) Pro-Track Program, with a concentration in dance and duo trapeze. In addition to NECCA, she has trained in Montreal with renowned coaches from Cirque du Soleil and the National Circus School. She performs her unique style of dance trapeze around the US and Mexico in festivals, cabarets, and most recently on a national tour with contemporary circus company, Acrobatic Conundrum.  

SUNDAY – MAY 6TH 5PM – 7PM EXPLORATION IN PARTNERING 2: BEG/INT

Partnering on aerials opens up a who new set of vocabulary, options and challenges. In this workshop we will focus on safe and correct technique for begining partnering as well as some fun and unique sequences. Allowing exploration is key to creating unique tricks and poses on silks. Working with your partner you will be guided in some improv to find what shapes work for your duo.   You do not have to attend the workshop with a partner. It is important that you have endurance and a clean inversion to be able to attend this workshop to keep both you and your partner safe. Maximum number of students is 10 and a minimum of 6 is required to hold each of these workshops.
