Workshop Schedule

Sunday August 21st, 2022

  • 4pm – 6pm – Silk Sequencing
  • 6pm – 8pm – Silks: Building Blocks

Workshop Description

Silk Sequencing

As students progress in their silks training, they get hungry to develop longer, more intricate sequences of movement. In this workshop, we will focus on giving students the tools to develop their personal artistry & flow within choreography. We will also add the element of music by the end of the workshop. Come ready to have fun & dance in the air! Max 10 students.

Silks: Building Blocks

Many silks aerialists get addicted to the immense satisfaction of linking two, three (or more!) moves they never thought could connect before. In this workshop, we will play with marrying tricks to one another in fun and unexpected ways, also adding optional spins! The best part is that you get to create your own adventure with multiple options for pathways, entrances & exits in each combination.  Max 10 students

Prerequisites

Students must have:

  • A solid understanding of the following skills including hip key & invert in the air, can safely execute a front salto and must also climb to the top of the silks.
  • Endurance to stay in the air for 3 to 5 min at a time
