Enroll now for January 2024 Aerial Silks Classes at Ascend Aerial. ***BEFORE YOU SIGN UP***, check with your instructor before leveling up and do not enroll if you have been given approval for classes that require approval. Session Classes – Jan 2024

Session enrollment means you pay upfront and are guaranteed a spot in the same class each week of the session because a regular, consistent training regimen is the best way to learn!

Space is limited. Once class begins there are no refunds.  If you know you need to miss a class, you can notify us 48 hours or 2 days before the class date by completing the class absence form and scheduling a makeup.  

Beginner Aerial Silks  – Beginner class for those curious about aerial silks or interested in developing strong core and upper body with conditioning exercises on and off the silks. Learn basic silks conditioning, climb and descend safely, and eventually expand to further techniques, proper form, conditioning. Students will learn poses and build confidence on the silks.  No experience necessary.

  • Tuesdays – 4:00PM – 5:15PM – (Claire)

Advanced Beginner Aerial Silks – For students that already have basic skills in aerial silks and have taken at minimum, 1 session of Aerial Silks Classes,  this class is a time after work for relaxation, informal socializing with friends and family, and enjoyment of aerial silks at Ascend!  Prerequisite: Beginner Aerial Silks & Instructor Approval. Students NEW to the studio: Email ascendaerial@impactkbf.com to schedule demo and evaluation for Advanced Beginner Level & above.

Aerial Silks: Pre-Intermediate – Tuesday. Learn the basics of aerial silks, go from knowing a lot of moves to being able to do them beautifully, and start learning to make up your own repertoire. Each week we will concentrate on a specific class of poses, focusing on basic troubleshooting, form and technique, variations and transitions, and adding your own personal flair. Prerequisite: Beginner Aerial Silks & Instructor Approval. Students NEW to the studio: Email ascendaerial@impactkbf.com to schedule demo and evaluation for Advanced Beginner Level & above.

Drop-in Classes

Drop-in classes listed below allows the students to take one class, a select group of classes OR the full session of classes. Makeups are allowed for drop-in aerial silks classes if the students purchases the full session package. Students who cannot make class MUST cancel at least 4 hours before the class date/time to keep class credit.

Aerial Intro 1-Day Class – This One-Day 90 minute class is for those curious about aerial silks or interested in developing strong core and upper body with conditioning exercises on and off the silks. No experience necessary. Try it once and you’ll be hooked!

Aerial Silks: Pre-Int & Int Class – Sunday.  Become proficient with aerial silks! Go from knowing a lot of moves to being able to do them beautifully, and start learning to make up your own repertoire. Each week we will concentrate on a specific class of poses, focusing on basic troubleshooting, form and technique, variations and transitions, and adding your own personal flair. Aerial Silks – Intermediate  Now that we know some of the basics of aerial silks, let’s progress from knowing a lot of moves to being able to do them beautifully. In this class we will build upon foundational skills and start to expand our aerial vocabulary and learn to build our own repertoire. Each week we will concentrate on a specific set of skills or sequences, focusing on form and technique, creative variations and transitions, learning to troubleshoot common problems, and adding our own personal flair. Prerequisite: Pre-Intermediate Aerial Silks & Instructor Approval. Students NEW to the studio: Email ascendaerial@impactkbf.com to schedule demo and evaluation for Advanced Beginner Level & above.

Pau Hana: Friday Night Aerial. Come unwind with your aerial family after a long week at work. We will work on a different skill focus each week, so they can be polished and finessed, and include musicality. Prerequisite: Students must be able to climb to the top of the silks with standard and Russian climbs on both sides. Students must have clean figure eight and dancers foot locks from the air. Students must be able to execute at least one entrance in to hip key from the air and work on inversions from the ground. Aerial Silks Training Drop-in. We will train and work on basic skills like footlocks, climbing, hip keys and overall strength building that you will need so that when we have more spots in our group classes, you will be ready!   Expect a full body workout, with an emphasis on upper body and core strength as they apply to aerial practices.  Prerequisite: Students must have taken at least 1 beginner session series or by invitation of the instructor. Aerial Straps. This is a mixed-level drop-in class for developing aerial strength and body control. Our class focuses on technique and strength building by combining conditioning exercises and aerial straps skills. Skills are taught in progression, so no previous aerial experience is necessary. We recommend that you have a healthy back and shoulders (no recent injuries or surgeries). Please wear comfortable, metal-free clothing and bring layers to keep warm between turns on the apparatus.
